"Absolutely everyone was scared! No one who wanted to get an education wanted to get pulled out of college. The only people that wanted to go to war were the people that enlisted."
How did the media depict the soldiers that were fighting in the war?
"There was a lot of unrest showing that we shouldn't be in the war. a lot of college kids were protesting against the war. The media didn't have a lot of choice to show both sides of the war because society was so harshly against the war."
Were you pro-war or anti-war and what did you do to show it?
"I was defiantly pro-war because i believed what the government said in the necessity of getting involved in the war. I didn't do anything except for the fact if anyone asked me what side i was on, i then told them. Looking back n it now If i knew about it no i would be anti-war because it was a no-win situation."
What did your family think about you serving your country when you got picked for the draft?
"My dad was for it, and my mother said "Go to Canada!""
What is the major difference between the War on Iraq and the Vietnam War?
The War on Iraq exemplified convientual military strategy's whereas all the Vietnam War was, was gorilla warfare.
