"just can't sleep tonight,
knowing that things ain't right.
It's in the papers, it's on the TV,
it's everywhere that I go.
Children are crying, soldiers are dying,
some people don't have a home."
This song is about the war in Iraq. It shows how that he is anti-war and tired of seeing soldiers die on t.v. He also is against the fact that not all soldiers are involved. This war is also affecting children over there. It is destroying their homes with rpgs and stray bullets. Think of how their mothers feel when they're child doesn't come home again because a soldier couldn't get his aim right. War is ridiculous ,and it is somewhat pathetic that grown men cant settle their differences without shooting off a gun.

Usleess War vs War on Terror
The New York Times reported about the Vietnam War like it should never should have happened, whereas they look at the War on Terror is a terrible event that needs our help. I think that we do not need our troops over there fighting as much as we need more spys. The Vietnam war was one of the most vicious wars ever so I guess why they had to be somewhat bias. There is higher death ratio in our capital then there has been in Iraq. I feel that the media only represents the majority society views on things.
My Dad -1965
Were you in fear when the draft started? Also how old were you?
"Absolutely everyone was scared! No one who wanted to get an education wanted to get pulled out of college. The only people that wanted to go to war were the people that enlisted."
How did the media depict the soldiers that were fighting in the war?
"There was a lot of unrest showing that we shouldn't be in the war. a lot of college kids were protesting against the war. The media didn't have a lot of choice to show both sides of the war because society was so harshly against the war."
Were you pro-war or anti-war and what did you do to show it?
"I was defiantly pro-war because i believed what the government said in the necessity of getting involved in the war. I didn't do anything except for the fact if anyone asked me what side i was on, i then told them. Looking back n it now If i knew about it no i would be anti-war because it was a no-win situation."
What did your family think about you serving your country when you got picked for the draft?
"My dad was for it, and my mother said "Go to Canada!""
What is the major difference between the War on Iraq and the Vietnam War?
The War on Iraq exemplified convientual military strategy's whereas all the Vietnam War was, was gorilla warfare.
