Meritocracy is 1/2 of the answer!

I believe in meritocracy due to the fact that i have been taught it m whole life. This research in the video is surprising though because it shows that confidence is part of scoring higher. The kids scored higher because they thought they were better and had a sense that they needed to prove it. The kids that thought they were lower in the food chain didn't have anything to look forward to because they were told they would fail and already put down in life. The after affect made the kids think that since they didn't have a future that they didn't have to work.

Martin Luther King jr. + Malcolm X = 1 great leader

Martin King and Malcolm x are the leaders that got the civil rights movement going. They had different ways to approach bit both was to get the attention of the government and both had to deal with pain. Kings idea was that if the resistance was so strong to take so much pain that the government had no choice to give in. Unlike King, Malcolm was to deal so much pain that the government couldn't with stand it and had to give in. Both of these actions were very affective and if you could have both of these peoples minds, in one human being, you could probably have the new leader of the world.

I am poem

I am
I am a part of the lunch counter sit-in.
I wonder why they think what they are doing will help them.
I hear people yelling mean things at me.
I see people fighting arround me.
I want to be treated like everybody else.
I am a part of the lunch counter sit-in.
I pretend that my feelings are not hurt.
I feel the hot coffee running down my back.
I need to stay focused for what I am fighting for.
I worry about my survival.
I cry, but only on the inside.
I am a part of the lunch counter sit-in
I understand that I might die.
I believe that everyone should have equal rights.
I dream that one day my children will not be judged based on the color of their skin.
I try to keep calm and block out the violence happening arround me.
I hope that we will win.
I am a part of the lunch counter sit-in
I amart of the lunch counter sit-in
I am block out the violence happening arround me.
I hope that we

College survey

25W- 24 graduated HS 17 graduated college
12H-7 graduated HS 3 graduated college
5AA- 5 graduated HS 3 graduated college
2 A- 2 graduated HS 2 graduated college

I think this survey doesn't show anything. That it doesn't show that there is an invisible white power or the fact or education being a problem. What i did notice though is the fact of hidden racism. i look back at my survey and noticed that most of the people i surveyed was white. That is because most of my friends are white. Me being also white proves the theory of that people like to hang out with people like themselves.
